Little League district tourney to open

The Anderson County Little League all-star teams embark on their post-season journeys with the District 3 Tournament Saturday, July 7, at Anderson Dean-Park in Harrodsburg.

The 9- and 10-year-old team will be playing Eastern American of Lexington at 3 p.m. The 10- and 11-year-old team will also be playing Eastern National at 1 p.m.

the 11- and 12-year old team will play Harrison County at 11 a.m. That division tournaments eventually lead to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. The tournaments will continue through Saturday, July 14.
