As a handful of Anderson County girls’ basketball players shot jump shots or worked on low post moves last Thursday, Lady Bearcat coach Tony Kays took a call on his cell phone.
“I have three more coming,” he said as he put his phone away. “That gives me nine. If we have one more come in, we’ll have enough to scrimmage.”
Kays could only chuckle about the bizarre week that started with a game cancellation and ended with his team wondering when it would ever play again.
