Yellow crime scene tape surrounded three vendor tents at the Eagle Lake Expo Center Saturday afternoon.

The Lawrenceburg Police Department confiscated counterfeit purses and other items bearing a trademark logo.

Detective Jeremy Cornish said, in accordance with state law, the Lawrenceburg Police Department was obligated to confiscate the fake merchandise. He said they have to notify the trademark holder such as Dolce and Gabanna. If the trademark holder does not want the merchandise, the LPD will have to destroy it.

Cornish said it's Class D felony and the sellers of the fake merchadise would be issued a citation.
