The numbers don’t lie. Anderson County football finished 7-5 following an undefeated regular season and in a year where many, including the Bearcats, wanted a much longer post-season than two games.
But for Mark Peach, other numbers don’t lie either.
“In 2006, we went 6-4 but all four of the losses were to ranked teams and we were not close in any of those games. We didn’t have a chance,” the Anderson football coach recalled last week.
He did not have to go into detail for the contrast. You can do the math.
