Magistrate vows action on 'mind-boggling' business license tax

County officials are vowing to take action after a potentially embarrassing list surfaced earlier this month of at least 100 businesses that have not paid for their county business licenses this year.

The list, assembled by the county clerk's office, includes a number of well-known and established businesses, including doctors' offices and banks.
