Man charged with first-degree rape

A Lawrenceburg man was arraigned this morning in Anderson District Court after being charged with first-degree rape.

Kentucky State Police arrested Jake R. Gribbons, 19, on Tuesday night for the alleged rape of a juvenile who, according to documents on file in District Court, is “incapable of consent/physically helpless.”

The state police announced Gribbons’ arrest this afternoon, saying he was lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.
