Forty-four high school juniors, five chaperones and a tour guide stranded on the side of a Maryland interstate as snow bellowed down on their tour bus.
With only a sketchy looking hotel’s blinking sign in sight, the situation had all the makings of a “perfect horror film,” said Ronnie Fields, associate principal at Anderson County High School.
But with a little perseverance, the annual junior class trip to Washington, D.C., turned from horror flick to the happy ending of a family film.
