Mat Cats win at Bourbon, struggle at Nelson duals

The Anderson County Bearcat wrestling team recorded a nice win at Bourbon County last Wednesday but were overmatched in four of five matches Saturday at the Nelson County duals.

Wednesday, Anderson defeated Bourbon County 57-24 despite not having any wrestlers in the 103- and 130-pound weight classes. Not having a competitor in a weight class hurts in team scoring as the match is recorded as a fall, or six points for the opponent.

Anderson's Ben Joseph (119 pounds), Tom McNaughton (171) Marcus White (189) and Zach Cotton (285) all recorded pins.
