Two bids to construct a new skateboard park have been rejected, Mayor Edwinna Baker announced during Monday night’s meeting of the Lawrenceburg City Council.
Baker offered no public explanation for their rejection, saying she met before the council meeting with members of the skate park committee and they reached a mutual decision.
The decision means the project will have to be re-bid. That, combined with the current winter weather, likely means construction on the park will not start now until early spring.
