Baker rejects councilman’s request to halt watering lawns, garden

Anderson County residents have been watching the skies for a chance of rain, and may also need to watch their water usage in the coming weeks.
The Energy and Environment Cabinet recently designated Anderson County and 26 other Kentucky counties as being under a water shortage watch on Friday, July 5.  
In light of Anderson County’s drought conditions and water shortage watch, city council member Ken Evans proposed the city make a statement for residents to conserve water until conditions were more favorable.
