Medical clinic thankful for support

To the editor:
The Anderson County Community Clinic and its fundraising committee thanks those who helped to make our fundraiser, 2012 Grill Master Grill Off on Sept. 22, a success. The event, held at the county park, raised $808 with donations still coming in to help with operation and maintenance of the clinic.
There was great grilling competition between the entrants that created a tough decision for the judges to declare an overall winner. Children enjoyed the face painting and crafts. Entertainers gave awesome performances all day long. People who attended, donated money and spent money on the silent auction and raffles helped the clinic in many ways.
Our thanks go to those who attended in support of the fundraising effort, grillers, judges, performers, Brenda Gardner of Art Emporium, Meaghan Downs, The Anderson News, Kathleen James of Body by Vi, Kirsty Savoie of Mary Kay, Anderson County Fire Department, Barbie Shifflet of Shear Talent, Melissa Hanks and Emily Durr of 855 Salon & Med Spa, Gash Memorial Chapel, and all the Helping Hands members, who worked hard prior to, during and after the event.
Thanks also go to UK Coach John Calapari, Windstream of Lexington and Annie’s Shop.
