A Lawrenceburg man was arrested last Tuesday after police officers found a missing teenage girl in the trunk of his car.
Cameron K. Robinson, 19, of Lawrenceburg was charged with custodial interference, endangering the welfare of a minor, first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, according to a news release from the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
Officers were called to the Butler Drive area of Lawrenceburg around 2 a.m. Tuesday following a report of a missing 14-year-old girl.
Robinson was determined to be a suspect in the girl’s disappearance and officers spotted him on Ashley Way around 3:30 a.m.
Robinson initially denied knowing the girl’s location, but later told officers that she was in the trunk of his vehicle, according to the news release.
Officers said they detected the odor of marijuana while speaking with Robinson, which led to the drug charge.
