Missing woman returns to city

A Lawrenceburg woman who was missing for nearly a week returned home Monday afternoon.

Tiffany Florence Hill, 20, of 208 Ash Court was reported missing last Wednesday afternoon after she reportedly voluntarily got into a man’s vehicle in the Kroger parking lot.

Family members confirmed that the woman was OK Monday afternoon.

Family members were concerned because she left her own vehicle in the Kroger lot and had not contacted them as of Monday morning.

Over the weekend, they blanketed Lawrenceburg with flyers that included a photo of Hill along with a number of names and phone numbers to contact if she was seen.

Lt. Chris Atkins of the Lawrenceburg Police Department said her name was placed into the department’s computer system as an “emancipated juvenile between 18 and 21 under questionable circumstances.”

That means if she or the man she was with were stopped by police, the officer would run a check on her to ensure she was OK.

Family members were initially concerned that police weren’t doing enough to find Hill, but Atkins said officers in his department had spoken with state police who were also working on the situation.

He said troopers had seen video of Hill and the man walking into a Lexington-area Wal-Mart together and attempting to use a credit card at another store.

“There is no indication that any of this is being done against her will,” Atkins said before Hill returned home Monday afternoon.
