LexArts recently announced that Robbie Morgan will join its staff on Nov. 9 as campaign manager and volunteer coordinator.
Morgan is a native of Lawrenceburg.
She will partner with LexArts President and CEO Jim Clark, the board, and campaign cabinet to increase funding to arts organizations and artists, according to a news release.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Robbie to our team,” Clark said. “She has the skills and enthusiasm to ensure the success of our annual campaign. And as both an artist and an arts administrator, she understands the importance of the arts in our community.”
Morgan has more than 10 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience.
She served as alumni development officer for University College at the University of Toronto, Canada, managing a portfolio of individual and leadership gifts in support of a $2 million annual campaign. Since returning to Lexington last year, she has been senior project manager for continuing medical education for the University of Kentucky.
“It is exciting to join LexArts and to be in a position to help ensure the financial stability of arts organizations through a successful annual Fund for the Arts campaign,” Morgan said. “I’m looking forward to working with Jim, the LexArts Board and the Campaign Cabinet to build upon the strategic partnerships with individuals and businesses that contribute to the vibrancy of the Lexington arts community.”
In addition to her non-profit management experience, Morgan has been involved in the arts as an actor, technical director and curator. She most recently completed the 2009-2010 season of Lexington’s Balagula Theatre Company. She has a BA from the University of Toronto.
