The Central Kentucky Mudcats' 18-and-under baseball team stood at 4-6 before taking a break because of the mandated high school dead period, which began June 25.
The traveling team, comprised entirely of young men from Anderson County, finished 1-2 in its own tournament, beating Clark County 10-0 but losing to the Kentucky Grizzlies 4-2 and 12-9 to FK Baseball from New Albany, Ind.
The Indiana Storm, from Brownsburg, Ind., won the tournament.
