CASA chili luncheon
 to be held Nov. 15
Anderson County CASA Ad Hoc committee will hold their first chili luncheon Nov. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the American Legion clubhouse, located at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds on West Broadway.
The $5 meal includes a bowl of chili, crackers, dessert and drink. Attendees can eat-in or carryout. Call-in orders will be taken and may be picked up at the back door by calling 680-1268 or 839-5875. A local jeweler will be there with beautiful handmade items to purchase.
CASA recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the Family Court system. Fundraising and recruiting of volunteers is necessary to continue to help children in our community who need an advocate to speak for them in court. At this time there are many children in the court system in need of a CASA volunteer.
All proceeds go to CASA, who receives no state or federal funding to support the program. Please come out and support CASA while having lunch and visiting with your neighbors.
Anderson County CASA Ad Hoc committee members are Chairman Ginny Smith, Sue Ritchey, Diana Hill, Bill Bryant, Barbara Bryant, Rebecca Feland, Pam Rice, Nettie Halvorson, Shirley Thornberry, Chris Dillon and Dan Stumph.
