Open Hands to host free
Thanksgiving meal
Open Hands Food Pantry, located at 1111 Industry Road in Lawrenceburg, will be hosting a free Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 21.
A full Thanksgiving meal will be served cafeteria style from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The meal is open to the public.

Cash Express to host
community drive
Cash Express, located at 509 Humston Drive in Lawrenceburg, will be hosting a community drive this holiday season.
Cash Express will be accepting donations of toys, coats and non-perishable food items in at its Humston location during business hours.
Donations must be received by Dec. 15 in order to have them delivered in time for Christmas, event organizers said.
 
Capital Medical Group earns status
The MGMA “Performance and Practices of Successful Medical Groups: 2012 Report Based on 2011 Data” identified Frankfort Capital Medical Group as a “better performer” because of superior operational performance compared with similar medical group practices nationwide, according to a press release from Capital Medical.    
Capital Medical Group received specific recognition as a “better performer” in the areas of Profitability and Cost Management and Patient Satisfaction. This is the second year in a row for this accolade.  The group, founded in 1991, is a multi-site, multi-specialty local physician-owned medical practice known for extended – evening and weekend – hours and same day appointment options.  
“We are excited to be recognized for this by MGMA,” stated Carol Amick, Capital Medical Group CEO.
