 Tornado siren at Wild Turkey

Public Safety Director Bart Powell told council members that he is working with officials at Wild Turkey to install a tornado siren near the distillery.

He said it will help provide warnings for those working in the warehouses, along with those working in the nearby rock quarry and residents in Tyrone.

Powell also shared statistics about the opioid epidemic, saying there have been 82 overdoses since the beginning of 2017, and that the drug that revives those who overdose, Narcan, has been administered 62 times.
