Early Childhood Center
to host open house
The public is invited to an open house for the new Ezra B. Sparrow Early Childhood Center on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m.
Staff will be on hand to show the new building and demonstrate the benefits it provides for students. Light refreshments will be provided.
The center is located at 1154 N. Bypass in Lawrenceburg, behind the district’s central office off US 127 Bypass north.

Friends of the Library host book sale on Saturday  
Friends of the Library will host a burgoo festival book sale Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Glensboro School, located at the corner of US 62 and US 127.

Salvation Army seeks
for holiday assistance
The Salvation Army will take applications for holiday assistance Oct. 8-10 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Other times can be scheduled by appointment on an individual basis, and applications will only be accepted during the week of Oct. 8-10, a press release from the Salvation Army said.
To get signed up, individuals must bring a picture ID, social security cards for all in the household, proof of all income, proof of all bills, a birth certificate or official proof of age for children 12 and under, and a copy of the individual’s food stamp letter if he or she receives food stamps.
Applications can be filled out at the Open Hands Food Pantry in Lawrenceburg, located at 1111 Industrial Road.
