By Ben Carlson

Several local police officers attended the funeral last Friday for the Bardstown police officer who was shot to death May 25 on the Bluegrass Parkway.
The death of Jason Scott Ellis, 33, of Chaplin, also served as a reminder for local police just how dangerous their jobs can be.
