The Anderson County Board of Education approved the sale of the old Early Childhood Center to the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg during a special called meeting last Thursday night.
The academy submitted the only bid on the property, and purchased the 45,500 square-foot building and the 7.5 acres upon which it sits for $75,100, less than half of its $170,000 appraised value.
The building, which closed at the end of this school year, has been replaced with a new building near Emma B. Ward Elementary.
