The Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort is hosting the fifth annual Running Wild Trail Run Saturday, Nov. 2. Proceeds from the run will benefit education efforts at the center, according to a news release.
The four-mile course includes primitive dirt trails complete with challenging hills, hairpin switchbacks, woods, prairies, brambles and all the obstacles that Mother Nature can supply.
Prizes will be awarded for age group winners and top overall male and female finishers. All Running Wild participants will get a long-sleeved race T-shirt, the release said.
