Residential users would bear biggest brunt of natural gas price increase

Residential natural gas customers will see their bills increase 6.6 percent if Atmos Energy gets its way.
The supplier that provides gas to 2,782 Anderson County homes and businesses has asked state’s public services commission to approve the increase, along with a proposed 1.9 percent increase for commercial customers and a 3.9 percent increase for industrial customers.
