Parents asked to give input in superintendent, principal searches

Online surveys will be available through May 5

Anderson County Schools Superintendent Kim Shaw announced his retirement, effective the end of the current school year. The district is seeking parent input for its superintendent search.

An online poll will be available through May 5 on the district website for parents to complete. Click here or access the poll by visiting anderson.kyschools.us. Click on the subhead “Parents and Students,” scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Superintendent Survey” to share your responses.

The survey is confidential and responses will be used to “build a profile for the selection of the new superintendent,” according to introductory information on the survey.

Anderson County High School Principal Ray Woodyard also recently announced his retirement, effective the end of the current school year. The school’s site-based council is seeking parent input for the principal search.

Click on the subhead “Our Schools,” then click on “Anderson County High School.” Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Principal Survey” to share your responses.

This survey will be used by the site-based council to build a leadership profile. The profile will be used to evaluate principal candidates, according to introductory information on the survey.
