Gertrude and Johnie Peach will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 2.
They were married Dec. 2, 1950 at Friendship Baptist Church.
The two were dinner guests Nov. 27 at the home of George Doster in celebration.
Mrs. Peach was employed by The Anderson News before she married.
Mr. Peach is a retired farmer. He also worked for the state road department and the City of Lawrenceburg. He is an Army veteran of the Korean War.
They have a son, Craig Peach and his wife, Martha, and a daughter, Stacy Steverson and her husband, Ed.
They have six grandchildren, Kyle Steverson and his wife, Jessica; Tyler Steverson; Matthew Steverson, Hannah Steverson, Dustin Peach and Christopher Peach. One grandson, Adrian Peach, is deceased.
They have three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Steverson, Savannah Steverson and Carson Peach.
