Police report drugs, speed as factors in Spencer double fatality

New information released by Kentucky State Police last Thursday brought little comfort but offers some insight on what might have caused the tragic double-fatality that claimed the lives of Spencer County High School juniors Michaella “Mikie” Monroe and Shelby Bockting.
But that information has not changed the love and support that the victims’ friends and families have for the girls.
