An Anderson County Middle School student was charged with public intoxication March 9 after police determined he was under the influence, according to a report issued by the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
An investigation by office Nathan Doty revealed the student had “huffed” hand sanitizer, according to the report.
Huffing is a term used when a person inhales fumes from chemical substances for the purpose of becoming intoxicated.
The student’s name was not released.
