That single word best describes the mood in Lawrenceburg after news broke last week that a Lawrenceburg man allegedly killed his girlfriend’s 8-month-old puppy by stomping it, breaking its neck and setting it on fire.
Following what became nearly a weeklong search, Frankfort police apprehended Lawrenceburg resident Paul “Doobie” Dearinger and charged him with second-degree animal cruelty and giving false information to police. He was also served a warrant out of Mercer County for flagrant non-support of a child.
