Redistricting suit puts dirty politics on display

-A A +A

Library trustees should secure surplus funds now

By Ben Carlson

Regardless the outcome of the attempt by state Rep. Kim King to halt the Democrat-devised redistricting of Kentucky, there no longer remains any doubt just how dirty politics truly are.
For those just joining this picture show, King was booted out of Anderson and Spencer counties when House Democrats approved a plan to draw a new district line that split King’s home county of Mercer just a few miles from where she lives. She now lives in another district and, pending the outcome of judge’s ruling late Tuesday afternoon, cannot seek re-election here.
