Silent auction for pinwheel quilt
Main Source Bank is sponsoring a silent auction for a handmade pinwheel quilt donated by a mother in memory of her daughter.
View and bid on the quilt at the bank, located in front of Walmart.

Local officials vie for chance to get pie in the face
Would you like to see a local official get a pie in the face? Collection jars are set up at the offices of Mayor Edwinna Baker, County Judge-Executive John Conway, Sheriff Troy Young and County Clerk Jason Denny for your coins/dollars. Voting continues until June 10. The officials raising the most money will be announced in the June 15 edition of The Anderson News. The winner and runner-up will both receive a pie in the face at Relay for Life on Friday, June 17, at 8 p.m. So drop by their offices and vote for these good sports. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life. Event sponsored by the Farmer’s Bank Relay team.
Stringtown Sweet Shop’s Barbara Bryant has created a wonderful quilt to commemorate our 10th anniversary. It features T-shirts from every Relay for Life in Anderson County. Chances are $1 each or six for $5. Chances will be sold up through the Relay for Life, with the winner being named at the Relay on June 17. Contact Barbara Bryant at 502-839-8497.

Cow Pie Bingo
Sponsored by First Christian Church. A grid of squares will be offered for purchase beginning now until 30 minutes before the cow is turned loose on the grid at Relay for Life at 8:30 pm on June 17 (in the tractor-truck pull area of American Legion City Park). Squares are $5 each or six for $25. Ten percent of funds raised will be awarded to winning squares; the judge’s ruling will be final. All donations go to Relay for Life. Free spinal check-ups
Pangemanan Chiropractic is offering a complimentary spinal check-up, including exam and consultation with doctor and full spinal X-ray if necessary. In lieu of the office visit fee, they are requesting a donation (minimum of $20) to Relay for Life. Dr. Arthur is also available to speak at group meetings on various topics. All proceeds from the check-ups and meetings will go to Anderson County Relay for Life. Farmers Bank Lawrenceburg locations are selling Old Kentucky Chocolate candy bars and purple ribbons to raise money for Relay for Life. Stop by the bank to feed your sweet tooth and also pick up some ribbons to display at your home and/or office to show your support of Relay for Life.
