Incumbent state Rep. Kim King (R-Harrodsburg) soundly defeated challenger Kent Stevens (D-Lawrenceburg) in unofficial results from Anderson County in Tuesday’s election, 55 to 45 percent.
Andy Barr, the Republican challenger to incumbent Congressman Ben Chandler, soundly defeated him in Anderson County as well, 56 to 48 percent.
In the city council election, incumbent Steven Rucker was the only seated council member to lose and will be replaced by George Geoghegan.
For school board, Donna Drury defeated incumbent Steve Higgins.
