Saffell Street Elementary recently raised more than $4,000 for the St. Jude Mathathon, with third grader Monynita Kiem raising the most, at $270.
The Mathathon is a program where students are sponsored to answer math problems. All the money raised goes to St. Jude to help fight childhood cancer. This year, Saffell Students raised $4,039.93 for the St. Jude Children’s hospital during the school’s mathathon fundraiser.
Saffell Street students have raised $37,772.38 for St. Jude during its history of participation.
