More than 200,000 Kentuckians hunt deer. Their purchase of hunting licenses and permits fund the conservation of all wildlife and contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to the state’s economy each year.
The public is invited to celebrate the sport of deer hunting at the Salato Wildlife Education Center from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 for hunting tips and activities for all ages. Modern gun season opens Nov.13 statewide.
State Fish and Wildlife staff members will offer tips on hunting, tracking and safety, and a biologist will discuss hunting trips from 1 to 2 p.m., and activities will be offered for children.
Admission is free.
