After receiving requests to distribute campaign materials in some of Anderson County’s schools, the board of education approved a policy Monday night stating its opinion on the issue: it isn’t going to happen.
Superintendent Kim Shaw said he received “a request or two” to hand out campaign materials to the students at school or during athletic events.
Shaw said he didn’t think that was appropriate, and the board agreed, voting unanimously to approve the policy on first reading.
