Anderson County schools could lose nearly $360,000 in state funding if Gov. Steve Beshear's proposed budget passes through the General Assembly, but school system officials are hoping it doesn't come to that.
"We're concerned, but we're not in panic mode right now," said Superintendent Kim Shaw. "We're hoping the General Assembly will make it a lot better than what the governor is proposing. They have in the past, and we're hopeful they do it again."
