Anderson County schools will be closed today, said Larry Basham, assistant superintendent.
Some of the county’s roads still have snow and ice from the winter storm that began around 5 p.m. Monday, Basham said.
“We would have buses going down those roads, and I wouldn’t feel good about doing that,” he said.
Basham said officials had hoped to be back in school, but decided against it early Wednesday afternoon.
