BEREA - The confusion before the opening kickoff was only a shadow of what was to transpire on the football field at Madison Southern High School last Friday night.
When Anderson County lined up to receive the season-opening kick, an official told the Bearcats they needed to go to the other end of Gilliam Field.
Only when another official saw the error did anyone take a notion to turn both teams around so they could defend the goals chosen in the pre-game coin-toss ceremony.
