Board will hold public hearing Sept. 15 to decide new tax rate

After a Thursday meeting left the Anderson County Board of Education without a tax rate for the next year, another public hearing and a meeting to set the rate are being planned for mid-September.
Six community members, a couple of county officials and several school administrators attended Thursday night’s public hearing regarding the tax to be levied by the school district.
