Getting sports news to The News gets even easier
The Anderson News has made it even easier to report your sports news, scores and announcements. Just e-mail the information to our new sports department address at sports@theandersonnews.com
As always, material must be submitted by noon on Thursday for inclusion in the following week’s paper.
Weekend results occurring after that time will be accepted until 9 a.m. on Monday for Wednesday’s paper.

Basketball announcers needed
Pegasus Sports, based in Crestwood, will provide live coverage of selected Anderson County Bearcat and Lady Bearcat basketball games during the 2010-2011 season.
The broadcast schedule will be released in mid-November and will include 18-20 regular-season broadcasts, along with full coverage of the teams through the district, regional and state tournaments.
All broadcasts are live and also archived for later listening.
At this time, Pegasus Sports is looking for volunteer basketball announcers.
Experience is not necessary, but a knowledge of high school sports – Anderson County, in particular – is very helpful.
If interested contact Pegasus Sports president Mike Montgomery at mike@pegasussportsky.com.
