Sponsorships being accepted for Carnahan Bowl

The second annual Seth Carnahan Memorial Bowl football game will be played on Saturday, August 10 at Warford Stadium on the campus of Anderson County High School.

Anderson County Middle School will host the game, playing Union Middle School of Boone County.

Proceeds from the game will go toward improvements in the middle school football facility, which is currently only a field located behind the school.

According to a news release, the goals of the bowl game supporters are to improve the field, purchase bleachers, purchase a scoreboard, and construct a new field house with a locker room and weight room, which would serve all Mustang teams.

The bowl is named for Seth Carnahan, who was an Anderson County Middle School student when he drowned on Aug. 1, 2009.

Sponsorships are being accepted, but must be in by July 20 in order to be listed in the game program and on T-shirts. Any sponsorship will be listed in the program while those over $250 will also be printed on T-shirts.

For more information, contact Mike or Sherry Carnahan at 502-600-1633.
