Alumni basketball game scheduled


The Anderson County High School basketball program is planning an Alumni game during Cat Madness on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. The game is open to all former basketball alumni.

Any alumni players, videographers, managers, or support staff interested in participating and/or being recognized should contact Will Carlton at 859-613-2838 or will.carlton@mercer.kyschools.us by Nov. 12.
Alumni team warm-ups will begin at 4:00 pm in the main gym.
A reception will be held for all alumni players, alumni videographers, alumni managers, alumni support staff and their families in the cafeteria at the conclusion of the alumni scrimmage.


Bearcat 5K race to be held Nov. 9

The Anderson County High School basketball program will be sponsoring the Third Annual Bearcat 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Nov. 9. The race is set to start at 9 a.m.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers. Door prizes will also be awarded after the race.

Registrations will be $25.

Stunners to hold softball tryouts

The Louisville Stunners 2000 fast-pitch softball team will be holding tryouts for their competitive travel team on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Shelbyville. Tryouts are open to girls who were born in the 2000. Due to uncertain weather conditions, the time and place of the tryouts is yet to be determined.
