Candidates for state representative have each raised tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions, one in an effort to retain his seat, the other in an effort to take it away.
Information listed on the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance website shows that Kim King, the Republican vying for Democrat Kent Stevens’ 55th District seat in the state House of Representatives, has raised nearly $33,000. Stevens has raised nearly $24,000.
The reports are listed on the state registry’s website, and include funds raised during primaries and fundraisers.
