Austin Dillow pulled out a 1-0 win over Brandon Pledger of St. Xavier on Friday night to advance to the fourth round of the consolation bracket in the state wrestling tournament, being held at the Frankfort Civic Center. Dillow is the only Anderson wrestler still alive in the competition and will earn a place in the medal round with a victory over Jeffersontown's Robert Newberry on Saturday morning.
All other Anderson wrestlers have been elminated from the competition.

Updated, Friday, Feb. 18, 12:40 p.m. All Anderson County wrestlers have been eliminated from championship competition but are still alive for as high as third place in the state wrestong tournament at Frankfort. Anderson heavyweight Zach Cotton fell to Louisville Trinity's William Flynn in a very close match. Flynn pinned Cotton in the third period. Anderson's Chris Fitzpatrick and Austin Dillow were both pinned in the second round of the state tournament. Fitzpatrick fell to Ashland's Trent Hardy, while Dillow went down to Joshua Russo of Louisville Eastern. Three Anderson County wrestlers advanced to the second round of the championship bracket in the state high school wrestling tournament, going on at the Frankfort Convention Center.
Austin Dillow, at 135 pounds, pinned Zach Goldsmith of DeSales. He will take on Joshua Russo of Louisville Eastern on Friday morning.
Chris Fitzpatrick advanced in the 215-pound class, decisioning Jeffersontown's Angel Gonzalez in the opener. He will wrestle Ashland's Trent Hardy in the second round on Friday morning.
Zach Cotton pinned Jeremy Glass of Louisville Holy Cross in the first round and will take on William Flynn of Louisville Trinity in the second round.
Shea Sparrow (125 pounds), Blake Curtsinger (130), Jake Vincent (145) and Zack Perry (152) all went down to defeat in the first round and will wrestle in the consolation bracket later on Friday.
