Stolen flags: more questions than answers

To the editor:
Last Friday morning I attended the ceremony at the Healing Field at the American Legion.
I was so glad to see a large group gathered for such an important event.
As I listened to Congressman Ben Chandler, state Rep. Kim King and other officials, I stood there trying to understand why anyone would steal a United States flag, especially one that had been flying over a marker representing a fallen hero.
I gave up. I can’t understand and was appalled over such disrespect to the flag and to the memory of those fallen soldiers.
