The Lawrenceburg Junior Cotillion held its spring events during April, ending with a final dance on April 28 at the Anderson County Middle School, according to a news release.
Sixth through eighth grade participants from Anderson and Woodford Counties learned numerous social etiquette topics through the instruction of the Lexington Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance Studio.
Cotillion participants also received information from Anderson County Sheriff Troy Young about online safety and making wise decisions with social media and mobile phone usage. Several students from the Anderson County High School also served as cotillion ambassadors and assisted at the lessons and final dance as dance partners, greeters, ushers and served refreshments.
