Juniors Kirsten Lyvers and Elijah Miller wondered out loud how much more they could get changed at Anderson County High School if they could plan petitions during every class period, instead of just second block.
“We’d get a lot done,” Lyvers said.
It was during their second hour “planning period” that Lyvers and Miller, along with fellow junior Alex Isaac, began work on a petition to change specific, and what they deemed unfair, aspects of the school’s dress code.
Change came much more quickly than Lyvers anticipated.
