Teen killed crossing I-64

Anderson County Middle School lost one of its own Friday night, when 13-year-old Alexis Neace was struck by a car and killed while trying to cross Interstate 64 in Frankfort.

Neace and a group of friends were attempting to cross the eastbound lanes on foot during a heavy rain storm.

According to a report from Kentucky State Police, the seventh-grade student was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County coroner.

The collision is still under investigation by the KSP Frankfort Post.
