Trying to list just a few of the good things about sports in Anderson County ...

As the 1975 and 1978 girls' Eighth Region champions were honored between games of Friday's double-header, those Lady Bearcats entered the gym wearing their letter jackets from their playing days.

It was one of the nicest touches I have ever seen at such a ceremony at Anderson County or any other school. The pride that those ladies still have in something accomplished 30 years ago is unmistakable.
