To the editor:
After having attended the past two board meetings of the Anderson County Health Department, I have come to the conclusion that we can no longer afford this big-spending director.
The first meeting I attended he was proposing to raise taxes and stated that he would probably have to cut his staff.
Of course this was after he had spent over $60,000 for new furniture and a top-of the-line kitchen.
This was done without consulting the board or getting bids on the furniture. Someone with the state told him it was OK.
