Top 10 Stories of 2012: No. 7: Ex-cop charged after ‘contact’ causes vehicle wreck

Former Lawrenceburg police officer Kyle Lucas resigned from the city police department in February following a car accident in Franklin County that led to a misdemeanor charge of wanton endangerment.  
According to a report from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, then 32-year-old Lucas was performing a “sexual act” on then 19-year-old driver Courtney Chesser, causing her to take her eyes off the road and to crash into a guardrail on US 127 in Franklin County.
